Our Love Story

It all began with an Instagram direct message about pasta—Nate had never met Andrea at this point. Andrea was visiting friends in New York City and looking for restaurant recommendations from her Instagram followers. After some witty banter in the DMs, Nate invited Andrea to dinner. Despite Andrea spilling red wine on a white carpet, the date was a success. They followed it up with a motorcycle ride over the Brooklyn Bridge, where Nate's bike broke down mid-date. Despite these early mishaps, they had great chemistry, and two weeks later, Nate flew down to Miami for their third date. After about a year of a long-distance relationship filled with late-night calls, countless texts, and frequent visits, Andrea made the leap and moved to New York City. From that first dinner to until today, their journey together has been nothing short of magical, and they’re excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.

What are the official wedding events for the weekend?Friday: Please join us for welcome drinks, light bites and city views at Nubeluz (25 W 28th St, New York, NY 10001). Nubeluz is the rooftop cocktail bar inside the Ritz-Carlton Nomad. The event runs from 5pm ET to 7pm ET. This is not a formal dinner. Saturday: The church service will begin at 6pm ET at St. Bartholomew's Church (325 Park Ave, New York, NY 10022). There will be buses provided for the quick trip to the New York Public Library (476 5th Ave, New York, NY 10018) for the cocktail reception and dinner which runs from 7pm ET to 12am ET. What is the best way to get around New York City?New York City’s subway system is one of the most efficient ways to get around. Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are also widely available. For shorter distances, walking or Citi bikes can be a great option to see the city and get around. What is the dress code for the wedding?The dress code for our wedding is Black Tie. We can’t wait to see everyone dressed to impress! For the ladies, please refrain from wearing white or silver dresses. What are some must-see attractions in NYC?Be sure to check out our “Things to Do” section for recommendations on exploring the city, including Central Park, Times Square, One World Trade Center, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and more. Can I bring a plus-one?If your invitation includes a plus-one, we look forward to meeting them! If you’re unsure about your invitation details, please reach out to us to confirm. What is the weather typically like in NYC in May?In May, New York City typically enjoys pleasant spring weather. You can expect temperatures to range from the mid-60s to mid-70s Fahrenheit (around 18-24°C). It’s usually warm during the day and cooler in the evenings, so a light jacket or sweater might come in handy. While you’ll likely experience a mix of sunshine and clouds, there's also a chance of light rain showers, so make sure to check the weather in advance. Overall, it’s a lovely time to explore the city and celebrate with us!
